The colour green

The sloped of the Mt. Kenya are not only a perfect place for climbing and trekking, but also, as this last trip proved once again, an ideal place for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of town. Only two hours drive from Nairobi, the Castle Forest lodge offers forests (no surprise), mountain views, idyllic morning scenes with horses, and lots of fresh air.
As it seems, we were not the only ones to discover it. Build in 1910, the saying goes that young Queen Elizabeth and Jomo Kenyatta visited the location as students...
All those who think the pictures above are animating enough to try the place out, can find more information under: www.oja-services.nl/kenya/castle/index.html However, dont trust the map!
One last comment: Isnt it beautiful, all these different nuances of green (see pictures above)? After having lived for almost two years in Somaliland, a country predominantely covered in grey, brown, sandy colour, and dust, it seems like pure luxure to be surrounded by this abundancy of green!
