Life in Hargeisa can hardly be classified as normal. Broken down it consists mainly of working, eating and sleeping. Apart from leading a, lets call it, simple life, all my actions are defined by strict security regulations. If possible, I should'nt leave the compound where I live and work at all. If I still want to leave it, I have to go with a driver and a special police unit, and be back by latest nine in the evening.
Thats why I started honouring the few "normal" moments: A evening with other poeple, or a quick stroll through the neighborhood. These "normal" moments suddenly become events to look forward and think back to for days...
